Alright.

*She hunts around for a blender, and lays out the ingredients on the counter.*

All right, first we get the seeds out, because those are gross. I like these peppers, because they are spicy, but not too much, so you still get the flavor of the peppers. Also, they are colorful, but that won’t matter much to this paste.

Then we toss them in the blender with some herbs and oil, would you like more garlic or less garlic?

More garlic.

*She dumps an extra spoonful in, plops the lid on, and blends it all together, adding oil until it reaches a good, pasty consistency. Then she gets a jar out of her bag, and pours it in.*

This should last a week or so in the fridge. Maybe by then, the tree will have ceased its enthusiasm.

If not, I can always make more.

Would you like me to stick around until Jonathan comes home, or would you rather just hang out with Bruce?

*nods* We are. At least I hope so. Eddie wanted to do it naked for a while.

He chuckles lightly. “I doubt she would fault you much if you did not; she would, after all, be here to see you.”

“And your son — he is faring well?”

“Heh. Sounds like Eddie. Who is the bride?” Edward was glad to talk about somethign that wasnt himself or Aaron.

Aaron nods a bit uncertainly. “His friend died recently, he’s a bit unnerved by it. But i think mostly he’s ok. He’s just not home often.”

Edward was glad to have the subject off him, and just quietly picked at his cake. He turned to Jon. “How have you been, Jonathan? You and Eddie are playing a wedding, right?”

*nods* We are. June ninth.

And indeed, Loki’s attention — at least outwardly — is entirely and pointedly removed from Edward. They could speak later — and speak they would. But Aaron was right; now was not the time.
